PARENT COACHING is…
a shoulder-to-shoulder relationship with a parent where family
ideals and priorities are identified and realized through a personalized
coaching process.
What Does a Parent Coach Do?
A Parent Coach is a highly trained individual with an in-depth
background of education and experiences who:
| |
- Listens intently to discover your strengths
and what is “working” in your family
- Asks authentic, hope-filled questions
- Provides age-appropriate information
- Offers specific suggestions to help you to implement
new attitudes and strategies in your life for you and your
family.
|
|
During coaching phone conversations, the coach helps you discover
constructive ways to address a situation that may be causing you
some concern, assists you in identifying your goals, and helps you
design action steps to attain them. A coach encourages you to discover
and address stresses and challenges which may be impacting you and
your children, helping you evaluate the systems you have in place
which are supportive, and guiding you to tap into them more efficiently.
What Can You Expect?
A Parent Coach works with you through 45 to 60 minute weekly or
bi-weekly telephone conversations scheduled at your convenience,
for an agreed-upon period of time, such as three months. One or
both parents may take advantage of the calls.
Experience has shown that coaching is most effective with a minimum
of a three month commitment to the process.
You can expect…
| |
- To laugh more, and find deeper satisfaction in your role
as a parent.
- Lots of understanding, compassion, and support.
- Questions which may surprise or challenge your thinking.
- Practical resources and relevant facts to redefine problems.
- Spontaneous ideas which often bring smooth solutions.
- Positive energy and abundant creativity.
- Positive change… even transformation.
|
|
A Parent Coach is a supportive companion who champions
your highest aspirations for yourself, your children, and your family.
